Christina Oikonomopoulou
French and Francophone Modern Theater, Trends, Aesthetics and Themes |Migrant & Diasporic Dramaturgy | Feminist Dramaturgy | Dystopic Theater | Diaglossic and Alterity Elements
I teach francophone theaters of the world since 2008 (West Europe, Balkans, Middle East, Maghreb, Subsaharian Africa, Indian Ocean, Caraibean Islands and Canada) at the University of Peloponnese (Department of Theatrical Studies). This field is also the main subject of my research work, which includes seminars, conferences, articles, essays and papers in Greece and abroad. I am currently working on a monograph in Greek revolving around the most important modern francophone dramatists of the world, from all geographical fields. I will investigate their plays, the use of the French language, their themes and theatrical styles. I feel honored to be part of the Citizen TALES Commons team, and I look forward to further discussing my current research and contributing to the team efforts by organizing seminars.
