Storytelling I Autobiography I The Mediterranean I Interdisciplinary Studies
Maria is a writer, radio producer, researcher and teacher of language and literature. She currently teaches a course entitled “Storytelling and Transformation: Narratives of Self from Homer to Arianna Huffington†at the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign (Department of Classics) and is working on her monograph “Narratives of Self in the Mediterranean.†Among other things, she works on a poetic collection and a study on narratives of self in the postcolonial Mediterranean.Â
Having a community of like-minded individuals who are passionate about the work they do is priceless! As a Citizen TALES Commons member, she would love to share her work on storytelling and transformation and to do a podcast on this issue, as well as to polish a poetry collection.
