Ph.D., Linguistics

My research focuses on bilingualism, multiculturalism, language education and pedagogy, diversity, and inclusion. I am interested in every aspect of Citizen Tales Commons (surveys and interviews, workshops, pedagogy, research and scholarship lectures, etc.). As a researcher in language education and pedagogy, my main focus regarding Citizen Tales will be on the potential for civic and social engagement in multilingual education, with particular attention to underrepresented communities within multicultural and diverse characteristics of society. Operating within education, my goal is to break cultural barriers and to increase linguistic and cultural competence in all ages of learning allowing citizens to feel empowered not threatened by diversity.
