Abdoulaye Maiga is a 4th year Ph.D. candidate in Mathematical Modeling at Rochester Institute of technology. He is passionate about human health and diseases such as cancer, Alzheimer’s disease etc. His research focuses have been multidisciplinary( epidemiology, nonlinear time series analysis, machine learning, etc.)
He aspires to be in industry as soon as possible to work on real world problems. Recently he was awarded the Provost’s Outstanding Graduate Student Teaching Award which recognizes an RIT graduate student who demonstrates exceptional ability in teaching.
As a member of Citizen TALES Commons, Abdoulaye is a mentor in Mathematics and Calculus for the junior members of its Youth Leadership Forum in Civic Innovation.
